Gardening

We were all up early and the kids were quick to get dressed after breakfast and get out and play with the other kids. I worked on the spot that is going to be our garden, I was told that another person that used to live in this house had a garden in the same spot, so the soil should be good. I have just been tilling up the hard ground, and removing the rocks, the soil here is very rocky.

Norman arrived right on time and we chatted for a while. Ueo-san came over and wanted to fix the brakes on the bikes that were given to us. Norman had a chance to get to know Ueo-san a little. After the bikes were fixed, Norman used my bike and I used Koby to take a ride to the Chubetsu river, we threw sticks in and watched them go over the water fall and also skipped rocks, one of the local neighborhood kids Ibuki-kun followed us.

After we got back we chatted some more and drank some ice tea. Norman brought an extra DVD player he had for us to use for as long as we needed it, we hooked it up and got everything to working. Shortly after that Norman left and I worked on the garden until dark.
