Business

Today we have to go to town hall and register my Inkan (Japanese rubber stamp) so that we can start on the process of purchasing a car. As we were walking out to go catch the bus, a local town dignitary was here to till the land next to our house that the school uses for a garden, so he did mine also which saved me probably 3 weeks of work.

We left on the bus shortly afterwards and went to the town hall. After we got our business done, we stopped by the post office and then walked around Higashi Kagura a little. We stopped by the grocery store and got a few things before it was time to catch the bus back home.

When I got back home I spread my garden dirt into rows, but later was told that here in Hokkaido where it doesn't rain much that it was not good to do that, so tomorrow I will go flatten it back out.

I played park golf today with a elderly man who lives right across from us, park golf is like a cross between croquet, regular golf, and miniature golf, it was real fun and I look forward to doing it again.

Tonight Yasuko has a town meeting and I am going to stay home with the kids and get them ready for bed. Yasuko has to go at 7:00pm and should be home around 10:00pm, they are going to discuss the housing problem here in Shibinai, our living accommodations are still up in the air after 6 months from now, but I am not worried, the boss of this town announced to the people here in Shibinai that have empty houses (there are about 5) to please consider renting to us in 6 months.
