Easy Days

Yasuko and Koby were off to school this morning while Evan and I ate breakfast. I cleaned the dishes while he was at the playground playing. After I finished I went to check on Evan and pushed him on the swing for awhile. After swinging we walked along the river for a bit and threw rocks and sticks in the water.

We saw our first snake today, I showed Evan and told him if he ever sees a snake to run away from it. I am not sure if it was a poisonous snake or not, but we just kept our distance, I came home to get the camera so I could take a picture of the snake, but by the time we went back it was gone.

After school I played with the neighborhood kids for a couple of hours. It was a cold day today and we came home to get warm. Ian came to our house to play with Koby today, they like to play the Nintendo DS game together (Pokemon). Yasuko chatted with Ian's mom for a while, she speaks English very well.

Later Yasuko went to the little store here in town to get some drinks, It amazes me at the honesty of the Japanese people in this town. The little store is connected to the owners house, and the owner was away, but the store was open, so you can walk in but no one is there to ring up your purchase. In America, there would be nothing left in the store if it was left unattended.
