I scrubbed the floor with a brush water and soap, and Ueo-san wiped up the dirty water with a towel, he complimented me on a great job and said the floor looked beautiful. We took a break for lunch and went to the local Home Center called HOMAC to get some wax for the floor, and then we went to eat lunch. We went to a friend os his restaurant called "Hindi Hipster" which is a Indonesian Curry restaurant. The owner is Japanese but has lived in Indonesia before and learned the Indo way to make curry. The food was great, and unusual to find authentic Indo Curry, especially in Hokkaido.
Afterwards we returned to Ueo-sans shop and waxed the floor, when we arrived that morning he said we were going to scrub the floor twice, but I guess I did such a good job, he thought that once was enough. The restaurant that was there before he got the place was a charcoal grilled meats restaurant, and the place had a coat of soot everywhere. After the waxing the floor looked fantastic and he was very pleased.
Tonight another BBQ is planned and of course we are invited, I need to be careful tonight and not drink too much because tomorrow I am helping Ueo-san move all of the furniture, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine, and dishes to his restaurant. The BBQ was tons of fun, but was real cold out. Luckily there was a barn that we all got in and BBQ'd in there instead, it started to get smoky inside, but we opened the windows on top which took care of all of the smoke.
Yasuko and the kids came home early, while I stayed with about 8 others and talked and had fun. I have a feeling Ueo-san is not going to feel very good tomorrow, but I will be fine!
