Asahidake

Yasuko and Koby were off to school this morning at the normal time, Yasuko will return early today and not have to go back since Koby's remaining subjects will be PE, Music and Art. There is a teacher at the school that speaks a little English named Toyoko-san and can help if Koby needs it. Yasuko came home at lunch and we took a ride to collect some more spring water, it was a nice cool day in Shibinai and was light jacket weather. After we collected the water we decided to drive up mount Asahidake took sight-see, it was absolutely beautiful and we took a lot of pictures, although the temperature was much cooler than in Shibinai. Snow is still all over the mountain top and is melting slowly.

When we got back Koby came home shortly afterwards and quickly went out to play and ride bikes with the other kids. Koby and myself have our first Japanese lesson together today at 5:00 pm our teachers name is Endo-sensei (sensei means teacher). Our Japanese lesson was fun, Koby surprised me of how much of the Japanese writing that he knows, I know more sentence structure and words for things but he can read and write far better than I can.

We also got Koby's bike tire fixed today at the local gas-station, and they did it for free when we asked how much. Koby has been riding another one of the neighborhood boys old bikes, which is a little big for him, but it makes him feel like a older boy. haha After our Japanese lesson the boys and I took our teacher back home, she lives in Higashikagura near the library and town hall. I need to study the Japanese alphabet more so I can catch up with Koby, but I have a feeling that I wont be able to catch up.
